Listening to Children’s and Parent’s Thoughts and Dreams for Right Start

Malayo na, pero malayo pa.

In May and June, Right Start invited children and parents to share their thoughts, dreams, and aspirations for the future of the organization through separate Impact Reflection Workshops. Facilitated by Ms. Jen Catindig, participants reflected on their happiest memories, the positive changes they have experienced through Right Start, and the practical ways they can help the organization continue its mission of serving children and families.

Children brought their ideas to life by creating prototypes of their ideal Right Start Center, while parents shared how the organization has influenced their children’s growth and their hopes for the future. Some participants were graduates who first joined Right Start as young children, offering powerful reminders of the organization’s lasting impact. Their voices affirm how far Right Start has come over the past 15 years, while reminding us that there is still much more to be done to reach and empower even more children and families.

Family Strengthening Session 3: Family Rules and Expectations

Fourteen families participated in this session, where they learned how clear and positive household rules can foster respect, responsibility, and healthy relationships. Through guided discussions, families developed practical strategies for consistent communication and shared accountability in creating supportive home environments.
