Right Start, registered under the name Right Start Community Development, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization for underprivileged Filipino children.

Through our center, Right Start offers afterschool programs where children can play, read books, learn music/dance/sports and we have fun art activities. At Right Start, we are committed to impart godly values to these children, to help mold their character, and to build their confidence through their natural talents so they can become well-rounded and responsible citizens of our society. Right Start hopes that these children, who may also be tomorrow’s future leaders, can break the cycle of poverty in their generation.

We welcome volunteers who have a heart for kids. Volunteers with special interest in music, arts, dance, or cooking can serve as assistant teachers in our weekday talents classes. If you are a musician, artist, dancer, or culinary experts you can support Right Start by conducting live demonstrations, or giving inspirational talks on weekend events for children.

We also invite parents who can share experiences with fellow mothers and fathers in the local community on topics of parenting, family health, nutritious cooking, and general home management. Right Start holds regular circle time with mothers to assist them in raising their children well.

Right Start makes available its resources for public school children in need of a place to study or prepare their homework. Volunteer tutors are welcome to assist the children to become excellent in school. Volunteers may also lead story-telling sessions and engage children through circle time.

Right Start prioritizes in-kind donations which can be directly used by the children through our talent classes or its resource center. We may accept used clothes and toys however, during relief operations for calamity victims. Please contact us at [email protected] for current needs.
